Kendriya Vidyalaya Southern Command was established in 1967 and is known among the premier educational institutions in the country since then. Besides providing high class academic environment to students with the help of experienced and caring teachers,it gives opportunity to excel in the field of academics , sports , co-curricular activities ,  scouts-guides , social service camps , inter-school competitions etc. At present this school has four(4)sections in each class I to X, Three (3) sections in classes XI and XII (Science )  and  one (1)  section in classes XI & XII Commerce and Arts. The total no.of students is 2050 as on dated 31.08.2010 who are being looked after by a competent staff of 80 members.A student can choose one of the following streams at + 2 stage which depends on his performance in class X examination.
